Outdoor Spaces That Work for You

Most properties have outdoor potential that never gets realised: overgrown corners, patchy lawns, bare dirt where a garden bed should be or a layout that just doesn't function. Pete's M Lawn & Garden has been turning those spaces around for Molendinar properties since 2020, and the results speak for themselves every time.

Our landscaping work covers everything from new garden bed construction and turf laying to retaining walls, edging, mulching and full outdoor redesigns. We work with the existing features of your property rather than bulldozing past them, which means the finished result feels right for the space rather than dropped in from a catalogue.

Larger projects often pair naturally with our ongoing garden maintenance and hedge trimming to keep everything looking sharp well after the initial work is complete. If you've got a space that needs sorting, call us on 0413 192 490 and we'll come out to take a look.

The Full Scope of What We Tackle

Landscaping looks different on every property. Here's the range of work we carry out across Molendinar.

Garden Bed Construction

New beds planned, edged and filled — built to last and designed to complement the rest of the property.

Turf & Lawn Laying

Fresh turf laid and prepared properly from the ground up, giving new grass the best possible start.

Retaining Walls

Functional and tidy retaining walls for sloped blocks, garden borders and erosion control.

Mulching

Garden beds mulched to suppress weeds, retain moisture and give the whole space a clean, finished look.

Site Preparation & Clearing

Overgrown or cluttered outdoor areas cleared and prepared before new landscaping work begins.

Pathways & Edging

Clean borders and purpose-built pathways that tie the different elements of an outdoor space together.

THE TRANSFORMATION

From Overgrown to Outstanding

It's remarkable what a difference a properly-planned landscaping job makes. Properties that have been neglected for years — thick with weeds, buried under overgrowth and with no clear structure to the outdoor space — come out the other side looking like something out of a renovation show.

We've seen it on Molendinar properties of all shapes and sizes. The transformation isn't just visual either — a well-laid-out garden is easier to maintain, more functional for everyday use and adds genuine value to the property.

We take on projects of all scales, so even if what you need feels too far gone to fix, it's worth having a conversation. A fresh set of eyes and the right equipment can make short work of what looks like an overwhelming job.

Landscaping — Your Questions Answered

Landscaping is construction-focused work: building new garden beds, laying turf, installing retaining walls and reshaping an outdoor space from the ground up. Garden maintenance is the ongoing care that keeps an existing space in good condition: mowing, pruning, weeding and tidying. The two often go hand in hand — a landscaping project sets the foundation, and regular maintenance keeps it looking the way it did on day one.

Most standard residential landscaping — garden beds, turf, mulching, pathways and low retaining walls — does not require council approval in Queensland. Retaining walls over a certain height, structures that affect drainage or work near property boundaries may require permits depending on your local council's requirements. It's worth checking with your local council directly if your project involves significant earthworks or structural elements.

In Queensland's climate, landscaping can be carried out year-round, but the cooler months — from autumn through to early spring — are generally the most comfortable for both the work itself and for newly-laid turf to establish. Extreme summer heat can stress new plantings and turf if they aren't watered consistently in the days following installation. Planning a project for the cooler months gives new gardens the best conditions to settle in properly.
